Solid form: the anchor
In solid form the purple head grips almost any surface. On gentle and moderate slopes it sticks completely — you can park on a 30-degree ramp and eat a sandwich. Only very steep walls defeat the grip, letting you slowly creep downward. Use solid form to stop, to wait, to line up, and to survey what's ahead.
Ice form: the missile
Freeze, and friction simply stops existing. Gravity pulls you along every slope, momentum carries you across every flat, and nothing slows you down except going uphill. Ice form is commitment — whatever speed and direction you have, you keep. The game is asking you a constant question: are you sure?
The magic is in the switch
Neither form is powerful alone. The skill of Icy Purple Head is the switch itself: freeze for exactly 0.4 seconds to gain just enough speed; release at the top of a ramp to stick the landing; tap-tap-tap down a steep slope to descend in controlled little slides. Your finger becomes a brake and throttle in one.
Air changes nothing — and that's huge
Once you're airborne, your trajectory is locked. Releasing mid-air doesn't slow you down; freezing mid-air doesn't speed you up. Every jump is decided at the moment you leave the ground — so do your thinking on the ground, and enjoy the flight.
